Staffing News
I am pleased to welcome Mrs Bannatyne to the staff of Carradale, Castlehill and Drumlemble for the Summer Term. Mrs Bannatyne will be working with us as an additional Depute Head Teacher across the three schools for this term alongside the existing leadership team.
Messages
As you know, we use the Groupcall Messenger 5 system as our main means of communicating with you. The email element of this has generally been very successful. Please do check your emails regularly to ensure you receive up-to-date information from us, particularly as we are minimising the amount of paper communication we are sending home.
Please note that the Education Service’s current guidance is to use Groupcall Messenger 5 for communicating messages rather than other means such as Seesaw. This means that our messages to you will be via Groupcall, and, if you would like to contact the school or a teacher, please email our school enquiries account or myself.
We will also continue to use our Facebook and website pages to make our information as accessible as possible, and we will continue to use Seesaw for sharing work with you.
School Meals
You may be aware that Mrs Freeman will be leaving us as School Catering Manager at the end of next week. I would like to thank her for working so closely with parents and staff in providing such a good service at lunchtimes.
The Catering Team are currently reviewing the method of providing meals for Carradale in line with the provision for schools of similar size in the authority and are planning to trial a dining centre arrangement. This will mean that school meals will be prepared at another site and transported to the school. I understand that this will be a change for the school.
