Dear Parents / Carers,
Keeping in Touch
We would like to ensure that we are supporting and keeping in touch with you and your children during this period of home learning.
All schools in Argyll and Bute will have systems for promoting and monitoring engagement in learning and for keeping in touch with pupils and parents, in line with guidance issued by the Education Service.
Our approach to supporting you and your child and to keeping in contact with you involves maintaining good communication between us all. Daily contact with your child, which Google Classroom makes possible, is the best way to ensure we keep in touch.
If we can follow these steps, then we should keep up good communication links.
- Please aim for your child to log in to Google Classroom every day and, with your help if necessary, respond to tasks so that their teacher knows they are engaging.
- If we are aware that your child is not engaging consistently and we have not received any communication from you, we will contact you by phone or Groupcall email. Please reply to let us know that everything is okay.
- If your circumstances mean that your child is not able to engage in online learning, please let your child’s teacher or the school know.
- If you have a work pattern that restricts the times that your child will be accessing Google Classroom, please let us know that.
- If you are having difficulties accessing Google Classroom or need help in terms of digital devices or connectivity, need any other support or have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or the school.
Thank you for your support and for the support you are providing for your child’s learning during this home learning period.
Kind Regards
Richard Long, Head Teacher
