COVID-19 Symptoms Update – 7th November

Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope that this letter finds you safe and well. As I’m sure you will be aware, cases of COVID-19 are particularly high in our community at present and we are finding more and more, that positive tests are following on from a wide range of symptoms. These include, but are not limited to, a new and continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia), headache, sore muscles and joints, excessive tiredness, sore throat, cold-like symptoms and diarrhoea and vomiting.

Can we please ask that parents are extra vigilant in terms of monitoring these symptoms, and allowing recovery time at home before children return to school. We would encourage regular lateral flow testing where there are no symptoms but should symptoms arise, we ask that parents arrange for a PCR test as soon as possible.

Staff in school will also be extra vigilant when monitoring the symptoms listed above and when following our hygiene and safety procedures.

Should you have any questions or concerns in regards to any of the above, please do not hesitate to contact me directly or Emma Cairns, on emma.cairns@argyll-bute.gov.uk

We thank you for your cooperation and support during this challenging time across our local community.

Kind regards,
Richard Long
